This is a core block and thus available by default in Gutenberg WordPress editor. No download required.
The WordPress Archives Block in Gutenberg is somewhat similar to the archives widget. It displays the month archive of your blog posts which links to the respective archive pages. This block could be useful to make your readers browse older content/pots.
Archives Block Features
The archives block toolbar has options for the alignment. And in the sidebar settings panel, you get options to display the archives as a dropdown instead of a list. There is also an option to enable display of post counts for each month.
This is how it looks on the frontend by default. It may look different depending on the theme you use.
